Hércules’ defeat in the second round did not bring about a decrease in the number of Rico Pérez fans. On the contrary, as the end of the season approaches, support for the blue and white team increases. Despite the team’s harsh setback in the most crucial moments, more than 7,200 fans attended last Sunday’s key clash against Europa. It is the fans who have never failed in Hércules, the most important and loyal part of the club, that have filled Rico Pérez’s stands since the beginning of this season. In addition to the large number of fans attending away games, an average of 7,000 spectators have been attending the stadium over the last few matches. Hércules fans are more committed than ever since pre-season, when they saw an energetic team giving their best in every match. Everything seemed to be going on the right track with a clean first round, the lead team after beating Lleida and counting down to direct promotion. But everything went wrong. Eight points were added in eight matches played in the second round.
