Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov answered a child’s question about who he would take to a deserted island. The athlete’s words stand out addicted to MMA.
“A few weeks ago I was thinking about this: Why didn’t God create Adam and give him a mother, father, sister or daughter? Why did he give him a wife? That’s the big question: Why did he give Adam a wife? Why would I need a friend or teammate there when I’m alone on the island? (laughter among the audience – socialbites.ca) We need to explain this to children. We need to increase the population. And that’s not funny at all. “I’m absolutely serious,” the athlete said.
Khabib Nurmagomedov had his last fight in the fall of 2020, defeating American Justin Gaethje. Immediately after the fight, he announced that he had promised his mother that he would not fight without his father and that he was retiring from his professional career. After finishing his career, Nurmagomedov founded the Eagle FC promotion.
The athlete had 29 fights in mixed martial arts (MMA) and won each of them. As a result of the survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation in 2021, Khabib was chosen as the person of the year in sports. On October 22, 2023, Nurmagomedov announced that he was quitting everything related to fighting.
