Former Spartak player Maxim Demenko spoke about the title race in the Russian Premier League (RPL). His words are quoted “Euro-Football.Ru”.

“The intrigue in the championship continues and it’s great. In the first half of the season we saw that Krasnodar can win when it really needs to. A mistake was made here, but this is football, this is normal. “Krasnodar” looks very bright. As the championship progresses, each match becomes more and more meaningful. “I do not exclude that Krasnodar and Zenit will retreat again and then their followers will catch up with them,” Demenko said.

In the 19th round of the RPL, Krasnodar drew 1:1 with Rubin, while Zenit played with Spartak 0:0.

Krasnodar continues to lead the RPL rankings with 39 points. Zenit, which is in second place, has 2 points less. In the top three is Dinamo, who collected 35 points by beating Lokomotiv 2:1.

In the next round, Krasnodar will play away against Rostov and Zenit will play away at Ural. After the 20th round, the teams will take a break for the national team matches.

Previously Semaka reproached Zenit lost points in the match against Spartak.
