Ak Bars Kazan hockey player Alexander Radulov was disqualified for a match against Ekaterinburg Avtomobilist in the 1/8 final of the Gagarin Cup series. Web site Continental Hockey League (KHL).
In the second match of the series, Radulov hit Ekaterinburg defender Kirill Vorobyov hard. After video review, the referees suspended Radulov for the remainder of the match.
Radulov was also fined an unspecified amount.
Ak Bars lost to Avtomobilist with a score of 0:2 in the best-of-four series. The third match of the series will be played on March 4. The teams will take to the ice at 17.00 Moscow time.
In the last season of the Gagarin Cup, Ak Bars reached the final of the Gagarin Cup, losing to CSKA Moscow. The series ended with a score of 3:4. Radulov previously played for Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadians, Nashville Predators, CSKA and Salavat Yulaev.
