Kazakh mixed style (MMA) fighter Kuat Khamitov called the upcoming fight with Russian Alexander Shlemenko the most relevant and discussed fight. He shared his opinion with him Legalbet.kz.
“I do not think that the fight will fail. This is the most relevant and discussed fight at the moment. Are we in the RCC offered a much lower fee for him than in an organization that could not fulfill its obligations in the previous fight? The difference is actually small. His price is somewhere nearby.
It all depends on many factors: whether the fans want to watch the match, whether it is on television, etc. Two big names of this sport meet; everything has already been done. Regardless of ticket sales and other issues, negotiations are over,” Khamitov said.
The fight will take place on May 4 in Chelyabinsk at the stadium of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club “Traktor” and will be the main fight of the RCC 19 tournament.
Khamitov, 36, has 26 wins, seven losses and two draws in MMA. Shlemenko, 39, had 78 fights in mixed martial arts, winning 62 of them and losing 15 of them. One fight involving a Russian ended in a draw, while another was declared void.
Shlemenko has been performing professionally since 2004 and is best known for his participation in tournaments of the American organization Bellator MMA. He held the middleweight title and defended it three times.
Previously Shlemenko named the scourge of modern Russia.
