The Russian Premier League (RPL) Commission did not allow Moscow Spartak’s home stadium, Lukoil Arena, to host the match against Fakel Voronezh. This was reported by press service RPL.
“The RPL Commission to assess the quality of football fields has concluded that the Lukoil Arena football field does not comply with RPL regulations and RFU Standards and football matches have been temporarily suspended,” the statement said.
It was noted that in accordance with RPL regulations, Spartak must notify the league on March 1 about the location of the 20th round match of the national championship with Fakel. Otherwise, the time and place of the match will be determined by RPL. Lukoil Arena’s permission to host matches will be determined based on the results of weekly monitoring of the football field.
On March 2, Spartak will play away against Zenit as part of the 19th round of the RPL. On February 29, the red-white press service reported that the club had its last training at the training camp in Dubai and St. Petersburg. He reported that he was flying to St. Petersburg.
Spartak, which collected 30 points after 18 rounds in the RPL, is in fifth place in the rankings.
