Zenit Deputy General Director of Sports Development, former Russian national team player Andrei Arshavin, spoke about midfielder Alexei Miranchuk’s performance in the Milan and Inter matches. His words are quoted “Match TV”.

“I won’t say anything about Miranchuk’s game, it’s a bit rude. I couldn’t find anything else special about Atalanta’s offensive performance and game in the Milan match. Miranchuk is having a good season, he was in excellent shape like the rest of Atalanta. He was rightfully chosen as the best player of the month “However, in the two matches we played against Milan and Inter, Atalanta did not look like itself at all, on New Year’s Eve, the opposite happened,” he said.

Atalanta drew 1:1 with Milan (Miranchuk played 63 minutes) and lost 0:4 to Inter (Miranchuk played 57 minutes). The team is in fifth place in Serie A with 46 points.

Miranchuk transferred from Lokomotiv Moscow to Italian Atalanta in September 2020. His contract with the Bergamo club expires in June 2025.

Miranchuk made 23 appearances in all competitions for the team this season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.

Previously at Atalanta stood up Inter’s goal was disallowed for Miranchuk.
