Kaprizov is the NHL’s best player of the week

National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild club forward Kirill Kaprizov was chosen as the best player of the week press service leagues.

The 26-year-old Russian player played in four matches last week, scoring six goals and making six assists. The second star of the week was Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitchell Marner, who scored one goal and nine assists in four games. The third star was New York Rangers goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin, who stopped 119 of 122 shots and brought three wins in three matches.

On the night of February 25, Moscow time, Kaprizov scored three points, recorded a double and an assist in a match against the Seattle Kraken. He extended his winning streak to 8 matches. Kaprizov was able to post an eight-game point streak for the fifth time in his NHL career, the best record of any Minnesota player.

In total, in the 2023/24 season, Kaprizov scored 63 (26+37) points in 51 games in the NHL regular season.
