Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the New York Rangers in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The match, which took place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, ended with the home team leading 4:2.
Three Russian hockey players scored in the winning team: Dmitry Voronkov, Kirill Marchenko and Ivan Provorov. Jack Roslovic scored another goal for Columbus. At the same time, Marchenko, Voronkov and fellow Russian player Yegor Chinakhov also recorded an assist each.
Adam Edstrom and Russian forward Artemy Panarin scored for the Rangers. It was his 33rd goal this regular season. Thus, the Russian hockey player set a personal record for goals in the NHL regular season. Panarin broke his previous record in the 2019/20 season.
Columbus earned its second victory in its last three games. And the Rangers ended their long winning streak, which had reached ten games in total.
