New York Rangers’ Russian forward Artemy Panarin broke a personal record in the number of goals in a season of the National Hockey League (NHL).
In the NHL regular season game against the Columbus Blue Jackets played at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Panarin scored the puck in the 15th minute of the first period, making the score 1:1. His assistant was Adam Fox.
It was his 33rd goal this regular season. Thus, the Russian hockey player set a personal record for goals in the NHL regular season. Panarin broke his previous record in the 2019/20 season.
Panarin has been playing in the National Hockey League since 2015. He signed a seven-year contract with the Rangers in July 2019 that was supposed to net him $81.5 million. He also played for the Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets.
The match between Columbus and Rangers was suspended after the first period. The score is still equal: 1:1. Russian hockey player Dmitry Voronkov stood out as part of the Blue Jackets, and another Russian Kirill Marchenko became one of his assistants.
