Former Bellator light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) Russian Vadim Nemkov defeated Brazilian representative Bruno Cappelozza at the PFL vs Bellator tournament held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
The Russian athlete won by submission in the second round. It is worth noting that the fight was Nemkov’s debut at heavyweight.
On June 17, Nemkov defeated Cuban Yoel Romero in a tournament in Chicago, USA. The fight ended in victory for the Russians by split decision. The fight lasted for five rounds. Nemkov defended the Bellator light heavyweight championship belt. In August, he relinquished his title and announced his move to heavyweight.
Nemkov has 17 wins and two defeats in MMA, with one more fight being ruled out. In November, he defended his championship belt for the third time by defeating American Corey Anderson at Bellator 288 in Chicago.
On June 21, Nemkov topped the Bellator ratings regardless of weight categories.
