The Estonian Hockey Association has suspended the licenses of Latvian athletes participating in the Future Games. Delphi portal reports this.
“We are talking about the suspension of the licenses of players who went to Russia to play football. Estonian representatives Vladimir Bashkirov, Dmitry Kuznetsov and Otar Sakhokia were players of the Tartu club “Valk 494″. Kuznetsov has experience of playing for the Estonian national team,” it was said.
The Baltic Select team, which reached the semi-finals and lost the fight for third place, has eight hockey players. These are Ervin Mushtukov, Kirill Tambiev, Pavel Goroshkov, Martin Lavrov, Alexey Popov, Alisher Mubarakshin, Nikita Zantmans, Artem Kuvsinovs.
On February 21, the opening ceremony of the “Games of the Future” took place in Kazan. The competition will end on March 3.
Professional athletes and clubs from all over the world are invited to the “Games of the Future”. In total, esports athletes will compete in 21 disciplines. 107 countries will participate in the competition. The total prize fund of the tournament is $10 million.
