President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation Elena Vyalbe said that she will not watch the 2024 Olympic Games and will not support the Russians if they perform in neutral status. His words were quoted TASS.

“Honestly, based on what’s going on there, I have great doubts that the Olympics will happen. I won’t watch. If the Russians demonstrate there, for God’s sake, I will not support them and I will not follow them,” Vyalbe said.

Following the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended in February 2022 that international federations ban Russian and Belarusian athletes from competitions. The decision to participate in the 2024 Games was announced in December 2023.

The organization said Russian athletes will be required to sign updated terms of participation, which include a commitment to respect the Olympic Charter, including the “peaceful mission of the Olympic movement”. Russian athletes who rank well in their own disciplines will be allowed to compete.

The Summer Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Previously Vyalbe denied Think of Russian skiers and biathletes as one family.
