The number of quotas provided to Russian swimmers at the Paralympic Games has been announced

42 Russian swimmers will be able to participate in the 2024 Paralympic Games to be held in Paris on an individual basis. In an interview about this TASS said Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) President Pavel Rozhkov.

According to him, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming Committee sent RKR a notification regarding the allocation of 42 separate quotas for the Paralympic Games, 21 each for men and women.

“The nearest start of qualifying will be the world series stage, which will be held in Australia from 23 to 25 February. Five Russian swimmers are included in the application for participation in the competition. Rozhkov will be held in Portugal from 21 to 27 April. He stated that more than 40 athletes were included in the application for the European Championship, where the participation of our swimmers in the Games is a mandatory condition.

RKR’s membership in the IPC was partially suspended by the decision of the international organization’s General Assembly dated 29 September 2023. At the same time, Russian athletes are allowed to participate in international competitions with neutral status. Accordingly, they will be able to compete in the Paralympic Games to be held in Paris between 28 August and 8 September 2024.

Previously Paralympic Committee denied Force the Russians to condemn the SVO.
