Promes’ penalty in the Netherlands was requested to be ignored

Former Russian national team football player Diniyar Bilyaletdinov said that the Dutch football player of Moscow “Spartak” Quincy Promes, who was found guilty of drug trafficking, should not be sent back to his homeland, but should only be allowed to continue working peacefully in Russia. On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes to six years in prison for cocaine trafficking. The hearing of the case was held on January 24, and the prosecutor’s office requested that Promesa be sentenced to 9 years in prison. On February 16, the Dutch football player was placed on the international wanted list.

Promes has been playing for Spartak since February 2021. This is his second time joining the team. He played for the red-whites between 2014-2018. The football player, who was part of the team in the 2016/17 season, became the winner of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

This season, the football player scored six goals and made the same number of assists in 17 matches of the Russian championship.
