Tampa Bay Lightning’s Russian forward Nikita Kucherov scored a point in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the Florida Panthers, and this match ended in a big defeat for the Lightning with a score of 2:9.
Kucherov assisted Brayden Point along with Victor Hedman, with the score at 1:9. Thus, he increased his lead in the NHL scoring race to five points over Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon. Kucherov has 94 points (36+58) this season. MacKinnon has 89 points (32+57).
Kucherov has been playing in Tampa since 2013 and won two Stanley Cups with the team in 2020 and 2021.
Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid is in the top three in scoring this season. The Canadian hockey player scored 81 (21+60) points in the regular season.
In sixth place in the race is another Russian hockey player, Artemy Panarin, who plays for the New York Rangers. He has 71 points (31+40) in the current National Hockey League.
