Spartak football player was placed on the international wanted list

Amsterdam Prosecutor’s Office Press Spokesperson Franklin Wattimena said that Moscow Spartak football player Quincy Promes, who was convicted in the Netherlands, was included in the international wanted list. His words guide the way RIA News.

“The convicted football player was placed on the international wanted list. The prosecutor’s office tried to bring him to the Netherlands and took measures to do so. But this has not yet led to his extradition,” Wattimena said.

He also noted that the Netherlands cannot influence this issue because it depends on other countries.

On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes to six years in prison for cocaine trafficking. The hearing of the case was held on January 24, and the prosecutor’s office requested that Promesa be sentenced to 9 years in prison. The striker is currently in the red-whites training camp in the UAE.

Promes has been playing for Spartak since February 2021. This is his second time joining the team. He played for the red-whites between 2014 and 2018. The Dutch player became the Russian champion with the team in the 2016/17 season.

The Dutch player played 17 matches (6+6) in the Russian Championship this season.
