The Russian Premier League (RPL) ranked second among European leagues in non-commercial revenue rankings for 2022. Information about this was published in a report. official website Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
RPL generated $260 million in revenue, ranking second behind the French league with $270 million in revenue.
Non-profit income comes from football organizations, owner donations, state and municipal donations, non-football activities, etc. Includes money received. According to the UEFA report, most of this income in RPL consists of subsidies.
The share of non-profit organizations in total revenue in Russia is 25%, which allows RPL to enter the top 3 in terms of this indicator. Only Belgium (27%) and Switzerland (28%) are higher.
It is noteworthy that most of the time the top Leagues have almost no non-commercial income. For example, in the English Premier League (EPL) and Spain’s La Liga, money represents only 1% and 3% of total revenue respectively. This share is 8% in the German Bundesliga and 9% in the Italian Serie A.
