Former Spartak football player Valery Kechinov shared his thoughts on how red-white player Quincy Promes will be affected by the fact that a court in Amsterdam sentenced him to a real prison sentence for drug trafficking. His words guide the way “Euro-Football.Ru”.
“He never went to training camp with the base last year. But that didn’t stop him from being the best of the season. The most important thing is not to return it. And I have no doubt that he will be fine,” Kechinov said.
On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes to six years in prison for cocaine trafficking. The hearing of the case was held on January 24, and the prosecutor’s office requested that Promesa be sentenced to 9 years in prison. The player’s defense plans to appeal this decision. The striker is currently in the red-whites training camp in the UAE.
Promes has been playing for Spartak since February 2021. This is his second time joining the team. He played for the red-whites between 2014 and 2018. The Dutch player became the Russian champion with the team in the 2016/17 season. The Dutch player played 17 matches (6+6) in the Russian Championship this season.
