Dmitry Svishchev, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports, criticized Romania for not allowing Russian wrestler, European champion and two-time Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev to enter the country. His words guide the way “Soviet sport”.

“I think this is a shameful behavior by the Romanian authorities. “The International Federation has decided to accept our athletes, and since Romania is the organizing country of the championship, it is obliged to provide visa support to all athletes.”
