Nikolai Naumov, former head of Lokomotiv Moscow, compared the work of managers Olga Smorodskaya and Leonid Fedun. His words are quoted legal betting.
“He said he didn’t care about the fans, but he didn’t care about anything. I don’t think anything good would have happened with Spartak if Smorodskaya had achieved this. I don’t think Smorodskaya would have been better than Leonid Fedun. She is quite a reasonable person, she made hasty decisions, but she knows football. She also had successes . Smorodskaya thought she was holding God by the beard, so he says he can now work in any club,” said Naumov.
Smorodskaya served as president of Lokomotiv from 2010 to 2016. Under his management, the club became the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship in the 2013/14 season and won the National Cup once.
Lokomotiv ranks fourth in the Russian Premier League (RPL) this season with 31 points. Krasnodar entered the winter break as the leader with 38 points. Zenit is in second place with two points missing. Dinamo (32 points) completed the top three.
