Russian New York Rangers forward Artemy Panarin got into a fight with Slovak Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil during the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).

In the middle of the second period, Panarin and Pospisil collided several times during periods of play and then started a fight during a pause in the match, which quickly escalated into a mass brawl involving other players. Referees had to separate the opponents to prevent a full-fledged fight.

As a result, Rangers hockey players Panarin, Erik Gustafsson and Alexis Lafreniere were each given two-minute minor penalties, while the Flames ejected Pospisil and Braden Pachal for rough conduct.

The meeting took place at Madison Square Garden in New York. After the 8th minute of the third period, the score is 1:0 in favor of the home team.

Panarin has been playing for the New York Rangers since 2019. He previously played in the National Hockey League for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Chicago Blackhawks.
