Yuri Zhirkov, former defender of the Russian national team and London Chelsea, said that smoking hookah is a bad thing. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.
“How did the national team coaches react to me smoking hookah next to them? I didn’t smoke then. When did you start? What is the diffrence? Moreover, you can also use electronic cigarettes. How did you react? Who knew? In any case, hookah is a bad thing,” said Zhirkov.
A member of the Russian national team, Zhirkov won a bronze medal at the 2008 European Championships. He has more than 100 matches in the national team.
Zhirkov’s last club was Khimki near Moscow. He played three matches for the club. Before that, he played for Zenit for five years and became Russian champion three times.
Zhirkov is also known for his performances at CSKA; together they won the Russian Championship twice, the National Cup four times and the UEFA Cup in the 2004/05 season.
He played for Russian in England and for Chelsea in London. As part of the “Aristocrats” he also managed to win the national championship and become the winner of the FA Cup.
