Georgy Dzhikia, defender of the capital Spartak and the Russian national team, can join Trabzonspor in the summer of 2024. The portal reports this 61hours.

According to the source, the Turkish club wants to add the 30-year-old football player to its squad as a free agent at the end of the 2023/24 season. Trabzonspor management has started negotiations with Jikia’s representatives and is discussing possible terms of cooperation.

Dzhikia has been playing for Spartak since 2017. With the club he won the championship and the Russian Cup. The defender has only played in six of a possible 18 matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL) this season. His contract with his club expires in June 2024. On 5 February, Jikia’s manager Vadim Shpinev said that a new contract would not be signed if head coach Guillermo Abascal remained at the club.

Spartak, which collected 30 points after 18 rounds in the RPL, is in fifth place in the rankings.

Previously Zarema Salikhova named Spartak coach Guillermo Abascal as moth coach.
