Former Manchester United head coach Alex Ferguson became the owner of the most expensive racehorse. The publication reports that sky sports.
The horse, named Caldwell Potter, was purchased at a public auction at Tattersalls Ireland and sold for £634,000, beating the previous record of £620,000 in 2019.
Ferguson, 82, made the purchase after his other horse, Hermes Allen, was injured during a race at Sandown.
Ferguson managed Manchester United from 1986 to 2013. Under his leadership, Manchester United became champions of the English Premier League (EPL) 13 times, won the National Cup five times and won the UEFA Champions League trophy twice.
Additionally, the English club, led by Ferguson, won the Club World Cup, Intercontinental Cup, European Cup Winners’ Cup, European Super Cup and won the English League Cup four times. Ferguson also managed Scottish teams St Johnstone, Falkirk, St Mirren and Aberdeen.
