Former football player of St. Petersburg Zenit and the Russian national team, Andrei Arshavin, expressed the opinion that Rostov will not sign an agreement with 37-year-old midfielder Denis Glushakov and explained what this is connected with. His words are quoted on Match TV.

“No matter how professional he is, no matter how good a football player he is, no matter how efficient he is, it seems to me that it is difficult for him. Still, some sharpness has disappeared and it was difficult for him in the martial arts, where he used to excel. I don’t know if Denis will stay [в команде] or not, but it seems to me that Rostov does not need a nosebleed,” said Arshavin.

On January 30, the midfielder terminated his contract with Spartak Kostroma by mutual consent. He went to UAE with Rostov for winter training.

Rostov, who played 18 weeks in the Russian Premier League (RPL), ranked 11th in the rankings by scoring 21 points.

The season will continue with Russian Cup matches in February. The first matches of the 19th round of the national championship will be played in early March. Valery Karpin’s team will play its first match in the Russian Championship after the break against Samara’s Krylya Sovetov. The match will be played on the first of the month and the starting whistle will blow at 19.00 Moscow time.

Previously representative explained 37-year-old Glushakov’s desire to play football.
