Former Spartak Moscow head coach Massimo Carrera said that the stadiums in the Russian Premier League (RPL) are better than those in Italy “RB Sports”.
“Russia has a developed football infrastructure. We can say that the stadiums in the RPL are better than those in Serie A. Almost all of the 16 teams in the league have modern fields. This is not the case in Italy,” said Carrera.
Carrera worked at Spartak from 2016 to 2018. Under his leadership, the red-whites became Russian champions for the first time in 16 years. Muscovites won the Russian Super Cup in 2017. After leaving Spartak, Carrera worked for AEK and Bari.
Spartak, which collected 30 points after 18 rounds in the RPL, is in fifth place in the rankings. In the 18th round, Guillermo Abascal’s team defeated Krylia Sovetov 3-0.
Krasnodar is the leader in the championship with 38 points. Zenit St. Petersburg ranks second with 36 points.
Carrera previously stated: I want to lead Russia national football team.
