Medvedev will play Karatsev in the second round of the tournament in Mallorca.

Ranking 38th in the Tennis Professionals Association (ATP) ranking, Russian tennis player Aslan Karatsev participated in the second round of the ATP-250 series tournament held in Mallorca.

In the first round match, the Russian athlete defeated the Spanish representative Jaume Munar, who is 75th in the standings. The match, which lasted 1 hour and 52 minutes, ended in three sets with the scores of the Russians 3:6, 6:1, 6:3.

Karatsev ended his streak of five losses in a row. He has only managed to win twice in the last 11 games.

In the second round of the tournament in Mallorca, Karatsev will fight another representative of Russia, Daniil Medvedev, who started the world’s first racket from the second round.
