In the final of the tournament, on 13 June, Medvedev, the world’s first racket, faced the Polish athlete Hubert Hurkach and lost devastatingly in two sets with the scores of 1:6, 4:6. It is noteworthy that the tennis player lost the fifth final in a row.

“Thank you to all the fans. I’m sorry I couldn’t make the game longer and more interesting, but it was still a great week. I felt your support and it’s very important to me, thank you very much,” he said.

Medvedev will participate in the tournament in Mallorca. It started on June 19, and the world’s first racket will start from the second round, where another Russian Aslan Karatsev will be his opponent.
