Dynamo Kiev has come under criticism for the participation of Russian clubs in international friendly matches. The relevant statement was published on the official website of the Ukrainian team.

“Russian clubs have no place in world football and we condemn the decision of some clubs to field against them,” the statement said.

Dynamo specifically condemned the desire of the Kazakh Ordabas to play with Voronezh Fakel.

In the spring of 2022, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to suspend the participation of the Russian national team and all Russian clubs in all competitions controlled by these organizations.
