Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva does not participate in training in Eteri Tutberidze’s group after the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). This was reported by RIA News.
On January 29, CAS disqualified figure skater Kamila Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules due to the presence of a banned substance in her blood. According to this decision, the skater does not have the right to train for public money during the suspension period. For this reason, she could not continue her education under the same conditions under Tutberidze.
Following the CAS decision, the International Skating Union (ISU) stripped the Russian team of its gold medal in the team tournament at the Beijing Olympics. Valieva took to the ice in singles competitions. Besides him, Mark Kondratyuk, Anastasia Mishina, Alexander Gallyamov, Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov also took part.
Looking at the results, Russian skaters took third place. Gold will now go to US athletes. The Japanese rose to second place.
