Former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane’s plans for his future career have been learned. RMC Sport reports this.
According to the publication, the 51-year-old specialist is considering only the French national team as his new place of work and does not intend to lead another team. Therefore, Zidane rejected the offer from the Algerian Football Federation, despite his parents and brother insisting otherwise.
Zidane is in no rush to return to coaching. The current coach of the France national team is ready to wait for Didier Deschamps to leave his post. Deschamps’ contract expires in 2026.
Zinedine Zidane coached Real Madrid from 2016 to 2018 and from 2019 to 2021. During this time he led the team to the Spanish championship twice, won the Spanish Super Cup and the UEFA Super Cup twice, won the Club World Cup twice and won the UEFA Champions League three times.
Zidane also won Europe’s premier club tournament as a Real Madrid player in 2002.
