British pilot Lando Norris signs multi-year contract with McLaren team Formula 1 Racing beyond what is in effect until the end of 2025, as announced by the company based in Woking (Surrey, England).
Lando Norris, born on November 13, 1999, came to McLaren as a Formula 1 pilot in 2019 after working as a test pilot for the British team for a year. He already has 104 Grand Prix participations. seven second places (six of them in 2023, finishing sixth in the World Championship drivers’ category, collecting 205 points).
In February 2022, he signed a contract with McLaren until the end of 2025, and this contract has now been extended so that he remains with the team.Beyond the 2025 seasonIn the statement about its renewal, he said: “It is a great feeling to be ‘Papaya’ (the color of the team in Formula 1). I grew up with McLaren and I feel at home here. The team is like a family to me. McLaren, piloted by Norris and Australian Oscar Piastri, completed 2023 with a total of 302 points in Formula 1 and ranked fourth in the Formula 1 teams rankings.
