Spartak Moscow forward Maxim Tsyplakov said that he has no idol in the football world. His words are quoted legal betting.
“My grandfather played number nine. That’s why I buy it whenever I can. Who is your idol in Spartak football? Egor Titov? I know someone like that, but I don’t have an idol. I love following and watching someone. These are different sports, but a game is a game,” Tsyplakov said.
Maxim’s grandfather, Viktor Tsyplakov, was also a famous hockey player. As a member of the USSR national team, he became the silver medalist of the European Championship (1961) and the bronze medalist of the World Championship (1961). The striker spent most of his career at Lokomotiv Moscow.
On January 23, in the match against Dynamo Moscow, Tsyplakov scored a goal in a poker game. His team won with a score of 6:3.
Tsyplakov has been playing for Spartak since 2015. The 25-year-old forward appeared in 54 games during the current KHL regular season and recorded 29 goals and 12 assists. He is the team’s third highest scorer.
