Russian forward and Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin failed to score in a regular season match against the National Hockey League (NHL) Minnesota Wild.
The hockey player made three shots on target but could not score. The current goalless streak is Ovechkin’s second of seven or more games this season. He previously went scoreless in 14 games in November and December, making it his personal anti-record in the NHL.
The striker missed three matches in January due to injury but returned to St. Louis on January 19. He played and made an assist in a regular season game with St. Louis. The Russian player played a total of 41 matches on the ice this season and recorded 8 goals and 20 assists. Ovechkin has 830 goals in his entire NHL career. He is 64 goals behind Wayne Gretzky, who holds the record for the most goals in National Hockey League history.
The match against Minnesota ended with Washington losing 5:3.
Previously to Ovechkin guess way out of the crisis.
