Russian participant who participated in three Olympics was disqualified for doping

The International Bob Sled and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) suspended Russian Anastasia Tambovtseva for two years for violating anti-doping rules. This was reported by TASS Referring to IBSF.

The Russian woman’s disqualification period will expire on October 2, 2025. Tambovtseva finished her professional career in 2014. In recent years he headed the Bryansk Region Bobsleigh Federation.

Tambovtseva participated in three Olympic Games – 2002, 2006 and 2010. She finished 27th and 21st in the 2002 and 2006 Olympics, respectively. Later, Tambovtseva competed in the luge category.

The athlete switched from luge to bobsled after the 2006 Olympic season. He finished ninth at the 2010 Games. His best result was the gold medal he received at the 2010 European Cup.

Tambovtseva last participated in international competitions in January 2014; he and his team arrived in St. Petersburg, Switzerland. He finished third at the European Cup stage held in St. Moritz.
