Detroit Red Wings defeated Tampa Bay Lightning in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The match, which took place at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, ended with the Red Wings leading 2:1.

Lucas Raymond and Daniel Sprong scored the winners’ goals. Detroit’s Russian forward Klim Kostin took part in the match but could not make an effective move.

Victor Hedman scored the lone goal for Tampa. One of his assistants was Russian forward Nikita Kucherov, who also scored a point. He alone leads the scoring race this season. The Russian player scored 28 goals and 48 assists in 45 matches in the regular season.

Tampa’s goal was defended by Russian goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevski. Another Russian defender, Mikhail Sergachev, did not take part in the match.

Tampa suffered its first defeat after a five-game winning streak in the National Hockey League’s regular season. Detroit got its fourth win in its last five games.
