Two tournament records were broken in the regular championship match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) played between Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo and Magnitogorsk Metallurg.

The teams scored nine goals between them in 12 minutes, 46 seconds. The previous success was achieved in the match “Salavat Yulaev” – “Sochi” on August 31, 2017 (15 minutes 41 seconds). For the first time in the KHL, teams scored nine goals in one period.

Torpedo broke the club record by scoring 6 goals in 8 minutes and 37 seconds. The KHL record belonged to Salavat Yulaev (7 minutes 49 seconds).
