In the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers’ Russian forward Artemy Panarin scored the goal in the 48th second of the match. Before half-time, Alexi Lafreniere made it 2-0.
Thanks to this puck, Panarin scored his 400th point in the NHL with the Rangers. The Russian did it faster than anyone in the club’s history.
Panarin has been playing for the New York Rangers since 2019. Before that he played in the NHL for Columbus and Chicago.
The Russian player appeared in 42 NHL games in total this season and scored 27 goals and 31 assists. He is by far Rangers’ top scorer.
The leader of the league in the goal+pass system is Russian Nikita Kucherov from Tampa. He has 28 goals and 44 assists. Second is Nathan MacKinnon (23+46) from Colorado. David Pastrnak (25+34) from Boston completed the top three. Panarin is in fourth place.
