St. Petersburg football club Zenit made jokes on social networks about Flamengo, to which blue-white-blue players often show interest.

Zenit press service published a video showing photos of the team’s Brazilian football players Pedro. Nino, Arthur, Douglas Santos, Claudinho. All this is accompanied by a phrase spoken in a child’s voice: “I have it, but you don’t!”

On January 8, Brazilian striker Arthur was transferred from Palmeiras to Zenit. Following this transfer, the blue-white team became the first team to have 11 players from a single foreign country in the Russian Premier League (RPL).

Currently, Zenit’s squad includes Brazilian players Mario Fernandez, Nino, Douglas Santos, Rodrigao, Do Queiroz, Wendel, Gustavo Mantuan, Claudinho, Pedro, Arthur and Robert Renan. The latter is loaned to Internacional until the end of 2024.

After 18 rounds in the RPL, Sergei Semak’s team took third place in the standings, having collected 36 points. The difference with leader Krasnodar is two points. Zenit will play against Moscow Spartak in the first official match of 2024.
