The State Duma said that the referee’s abusive language in the match between Amur and Avangard was unacceptable

State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishchev called referee Denis Naumov’s obscene language towards Omsk coach Mikhail Kravets unacceptable in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) match between Khabarovsk Amur and Omsk Avangard “Sports Express”.

“I am sure that the judge will be punished in accordance with the legislation. But such things are unacceptable, emotions need to be restrained. He is a judge and checks compliance with the rules,” said Svishchev.

The match ended with Avangard winning 3:2. The winning team scored goals from Tomas Yurcho, Reed Boucher and Nikita Kholodilin. Egor Korshkov and Artur Gizdatullin scored the goals for the home team.

Avangard sit second in the Eastern Conference with 69 points after 49 KHL games / three points above leaders Metallurg. Omsk will play its next match against Amur on January 13.

It was previously known that Spartak Moscow hockey player Ilya Kovalchuk was the cause. I missed Match with Dinamo Minsk.
