Yenisey general manager Dmitry Fedoseev said that he wanted to see former Russian national team and Spanish Celta football player Alexander Mostovoy in the team’s technical staff. His words are quoted “Bookmaker rating”.
“Should I call Mostovoy to Tikhonov’s headquarters? You should ask the coach about this. Personally, I would like to see Alexander in the center,” said Fedoseev.
On January 10, Enisey announced the appointment of Spartak legend Andrei Tikhonov as the team’s head coach. The media reported that Mostovoy was one of the candidates for this position. The team is in 10th place in the First League.
In early June 2023, the Russian Football Union (RFU) announced that Mostovoy had applied for a Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) coaching license at the RFU academy.
It was reported that Mostovoy initially missed the deadline to submit the required application form for training, but the academy agreed to include the specialist in the list.
Mostovoy is known in Russia for his performances for Spartak. Most of his career was spent abroad. He played for Portuguese Benfica, French Strasbourg and Spanish Celta.
