Krasnodar vice president Valery Bubnov, Zenit St. The manager of former Bulls player Ilzat Akhmetov, who was transferred to St. Petersburg, responded to the words of Irakli Gegechkori. Bubnov quotes his words “Sports Express”.

Gegechkori in an interview with “Championship” statedHe said that his client left because Krasnodar did not keep its promise. Commenting on the representative’s words, Bubnov said that the number of lies in an interview exceeds the norm.

“First of all, regarding the attitude towards Russian football players, we, as Krasnodar, do not discriminate players according to their passports. There is already a core team of Russian players in the team, namely our students. As for Mr. Akhmetov, he probably went to a club where they believed the attitude towards Russians was better.

The second is about the agreement. When we made the first offer to Akhmetov, there was silence and the fax came that he would move to Zenit. He’s gone and gone, not a starting player. We are grateful to have him on the team. We made him an offer to which we received no response.

The third question is about the so-called pride we feel in selling a football player to Zenit. It’s not at all clear how one could comment. It is clear that our leaders are always in demand in the market. We have never sold our leaders directly to competitors. This statement is ridiculous in itself,” Bubnov said.

On January 9, Akhmetov moved from Krasnodar to Zenit. The 26-year-old midfielder’s contract runs until the end of the 2025/26 season and has the option to extend for another year.

Akhmetov made his debut in the Russian Premier League (RPL) in 2014 as part of Rubin Kazan. He played for the club for four years. Later, the midfielder played for CSKA for four years. In 2018 he and his club won the Russian Super Cup. In 2022 Akhmetov became a Krasnodar player.

The midfielder played 21 matches in all competitions for Krasnodar this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in these matches. In total, Akhmetov appeared in 61 games for the Bulls, scoring seven goals and recording eight assists.

Previously Glushakov statedHe said there will be a training camp with the RPL club.
