The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in a regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL). The match took place at the Ball Arena in Denver and ended with a score of 3:0.
The goals were scored by Russian forward Valery Nichushkin (twice) and Canadian forward Logan O’Connor.
Nichushkin has now recorded 42 points (22 goals and 20 assists) in 40 regular season games. He shares first place on the club’s sniper list this season with Canadian Nathan MacKinnon.
Colorado goaltender Alexander Georgiev stopped 25 shots on goal and had his 15th NHL shutout (his second of the season). The 27-year-old Russian player was chosen as the first star of the meeting, Nichushkin was chosen as the second star, and Finnish Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen was chosen as the third star.
Russians Pavel Dorofeev, Grigory Denisenko and Ivan Barbashev took part in the match in Vegas, but could not make an effective move.
