One of the Italian Atlanta fans highly appreciated the play of Russian midfielder Alexei Miranchuk after the team’s Coppa Italia quarter-final match against Milan. He published the relevant post on social network X.
“Miranchuk would have won the Ballon d’Or already if he had played 38 of the available 38 games for us, but he’s leaving,” he wrote.
In the victory match against the Rossoneri, Miranchuk was in the starting 11 and played without substitution. He made an assist before the goal and won the penalty, thus Atalanta managed to score the winning goal. The meeting ended with a score of 2:1.
The Russian player scored two goals and made four assists in eight matches for Atalanta last month. Miranchuk played a total of 16 matches for the team in all tournaments this season. He can also leave the team during the winter transfer window.
Miranchuk transferred from Lokomotiv Moscow to Italian Atalanta in September 2020. The Russian player failed to gain a place in the main team and was transferred to Turin on loan in the summer of 2022. The midfielder spent a year at the Torino club, scoring four goals in 29 appearances.
He used to be a CSKA legend named Miranchuk is a prisoner of the Atalanta coach’s decisions.
