Fakel sports director Kirill Kotov spoke about the progress of negotiations on the loan of Spartak striker Pavel Meleshin. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.
“We are interested in Meleshin. “Let’s see how the negotiations will progress,” Kotov said.
“Fakel” takes 11th place in the Russian Championship rankings. The team’s top scorer is Evgeniy Markov, who scored six goals.
Meleshin is the pupil of red and white. He joined the team in 2010. In 2022, the striker made his debut for the main team of Spartak. He scored his first goal in the Russian Championship in the 14th round match against Khimki on October 23, 2022.
Meleshin played three matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL) this season but could not score an effective goal.
Spartak, which collected 30 points after 18 rounds in the RPL, is in fifth place in the rankings. Krasnodar entered the winter break as the leader of the RPL, having collected 38 points. In the 18th round, Vladimir Ivich’s team defeated CSKA with a score of 1:0. Zenit is in second place with two points missing. Dinamo (32 points) completed the top three.
