Rubin Kazan’s football player Ruslan Bezrukov jokingly announced his intention to win the Golden Ball in 2024. His words are quoted “Championship”.
“The start of this season did not go the way I wanted. But I am happy that I was able to turn things around at the end of the year. The start of the year was a bit spontaneous; I played very little in the First League and then could not get into the RPL. I realized that I had to work and at the end of the calendar year I managed to win the competition and become the starter “I tried to get a place in the squad. I would like to win the Ballon d’Or in the new year, haha. I don’t know if it’s possible,” said the midfielder.
This season, 21-year-old Bezrukov made 15 appearances for Rubin in all competitions and scored two goals. Kazan club ranked eighth in the Russian Premier League (RPL) ranking, collecting 28 points after 18 weeks.
The Russian Championship will continue after the break in March 2024. In the 19th round, Rubin will play away against RPL leader Krasnodar.
