National Hockey League (NHL) club Toronto Maple Leafs placed Russian goaltender Ilya Samsonov on waivers following their regular season game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
According to information insider information Darren Dreger If the draft waiver procedure is successful, Samsonov will head to the Toronto Marlies farm club in the American Hockey League (AHL).
The goalkeeper will be given a week to get in shape; It is unlikely that Marlies will participate in official matches.
