Carolina Hurricanes’ Russian forward Andrei Svechnikov was recognized as the first star of the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match against the Montreal Canadiens.
The meeting, which took place at the PCN Arena in Raleigh, ended with a score of 5:3 in favor of the Hurricanes. Svechnikov, who has been playing for Carolina since 2018, scored a hat-trick in this match.
The second star was Swedish forward Jesper Fast, who scored a double goal. Finnish forward Sebastian Aho, who scored four points in the match and assisted his teammates four times, was in the top three.
