G2.iG, one of China’s most famous Dota 2 clubs, will participate in the first international multi-sport tournament “Future Games 2024” to be held in Kazan. The team will compete for a $1 million prize pool in the physical MOBA discipline. The organizers of the tournament reported this.

G2.iG is a Chinese Dota 2 esports team founded in 2023 by Invictus Gaming in partnership with G2 Esports. In 2012, Invictus Gaming won the main e-sports tournament in Dota 2 The International, after which the team received $ 1 million for first place. In the following years, Invictus Gaming placed in the top 8 of The International three more times.

The G2.iG roster includes players who have earned a total of $7 million in prize money throughout their careers. Jian Wei, captain of the Yap xNova team, took 2nd and 3rd place at The International as part of China LGD.

He also has experience of winning in Russia – he won the Moscow Central Base XL in 2018.

16 teams will participate in the Dota 2 tournament at Future Games, which will take place between February 19-25. Previously, another Chinese team, LGD Gaming, announced its intention to come to Kazan.

The Games of the Future is an international multi-sport tournament in physical concept, a sports show in a new format that will combine competitions in physical and digital dimensions. The technological partner of the tournament is VK Play. More than 260 experienced teams and more than 2 thousand athletes from different countries in 21 innovative disciplines will participate in the first tournament of the Games of the Future, which will be held in Kazan between 21 February and 3 March 2024.
